ureX™ Nano-Molecular Coatings provide the unique ability to deeply penetrate the substrate, or surface, and chemically-bind with the many free ions within and on, the substrate. This allows the nano-coating to become a permanent, integral part of the substrate due to the formation of new molecules driven to reaction completion.
This process creates a powerful, indestructible bond. Delamination (separation) of the XureX coating from the surface (unlike the typical result with competitors’ coatings) will not occur. Any attempt to separate XureX Nano-Coatings from a surface results in separation within the metal, beyond the XureX coating’s fused molecular attachment. Metal rips from metal. The unique XureX bond remains intact. XureX has been engaged in
true nano formulations for the past twelve years. While XureX continues R&D in certain fields, the nano-coatings listed in our
Products section have finished R&D and are available in commercial quantities, ranging from 1/2 Pint to 55 Gallon.
Correct Definition of Nano Scale
The standard scientific definition of the term “nano-molecular” is any material with an atomic/molecular level ranging from one nanometer (nM) to 100 nM [1 nM = 1 Billionth of a Meter; or approximately 1/80,000 the diameter of a human hair]. XureX is told that the prestigious ASTM will be publishing this definition in the very near future. By penetrating to the true, nano-molecular level described, reactions with existing atoms and molecules occur within as well as on the substrate, creating new, molecularly-manipulated structures with extremely desirable and positive different behavior characteristics. This is a new XureX chemistry in the protective coatings industry, extensively disruptive, resulting in vastly superior product performance. To assist in understanding the scale at which nano-molecular/atomic reactions occur, XureX has provided an interactive measurement scale titled
“Scale of Things” to help visualize and understand the scale of where true nano-molecular really occurs, both man-made and natural.
