PenetrAct™ is XUREX’s surface preparation aid for use with its nano coatings.
PenetrAct™ penetrates and activates the surface and subsurface matrix of metals and alloys, which maximizes the coating’s ability to penetrate into the substrates. The speed of surface preparation using PenetrAct™ is vastly increased as compared to conventional methods necessary for application of competitor’s coatings.
NOTE: There are different PenetrActs™ used with different alloys, for example: steel, aluminum, stainless, magnesium, copper, brass, fiberglass, etc. It is important that the alloy makeup of the substrate to be treated is identified.
Scanning Electron Microphotographs (SEM) show coating penetration into carbon steel up to 50% of its thickness. PenetrAct™ is specially formulated, allowing XUREX coatings to achieve deep penetration and a molecular bond resulting in a longer lasting and higher quality finish within and on the substrate.
