Other proclaimed Nano coatings consist of non-Nano base fluid carriers which then introduce nano particulates (such as Bucky Balls, Carbon Nano tubes and finite common powders ground to Nano size) which are applied only to the surface of the materials via traditional adhesive technologies. Such coatings have a life cycle limited to that of the adhesive technology. They are therefore prone to peel and crack through surface adhesion failure, and can be easily compromised from bumps and scratches to the surface.  Such non-XUREX Nano coatings have much shorter effective life expectancies. They also run the very real risk of releasing these Nano particles into the environment.
